That’s a hefty chunk of screen time to devote to an event that’s not entirely critical to the plot, but “The Super” doesn’t have much else to offer. It’s a horror picture from director Stephan Rick and screenwriter John J. McLaughlin, who pursue a formulaic ride through the shadows, blending bits of black magic with twists and turns, trying to remain one step ahead of the audience.
